After purchasing a “diamond in the rough” home at the age of 23, Laura knew that one day she would become a Realtor. She caught the bug of “fix and flip” and acquired a garage full of tools and saws and created a profitable hobby out of DIY remodeling. In 2017, after a 20 year-career as a dental hygienist, that dream came true as Laura started her full-time career as a Realtor. Laura was the top producing dental hygienist in the state for several years, and it did not take long to see that she was destined for success, being named her firm’s Rookie of the Year for 2017 within only 7 months. She might have gotten some of her drive, work ethic, and attention to detail from her father, who won multiple Top Gun awards as the best of the best fighter pilots.
Laura attributes her success to her passion for both people and the real estate process. “I love everything about it! The hunt, the visualization, the negotiation, the possibilities are endless,” she says. “I love being able to help clients find the home that is just right for them.” As a graduate of the Chandler School of Design, she is able to lend her “vision” to clients so they can see the potential of any home.
She and her husband Mark run a successful real estate investment company, River Trail Properties, which enables her to sometimes find off-market properties that are often the best fit for her clients’ needs and budget. With 30+ renovations under her belt, she has the expertise and resources to guide clients through the purchase of a fixer-upper. In her own fix and flip business she has honed the art of picking and choosing cost effective rehab projects that buyers want and that have the best returns on investment. She is also excellent at estimating rehab budgets so is an strong ally to have while navigating the crucial inspection phase of a home sale.
If you work with Laura it won’t take long for you to see why her clients describe her as responsive, knowledgeable and resourceful. Laura is a true team player who always has her clients’ best interest at heart. Even in her free time Laura is thinking about real estate, always on the lookout for the next property “deal”. Laura grew up in Piggott, Arkansas, and attended college at Harding University and graduated with a BS in Dental Hygiene from UAMS. She enjoys cycling, volunteering with the 20th Century Club, her church family at New Life and spending time with her daughter, Mary Kate.
